Drink a cup of local tea in the heart of Sri Lanka’s hill country. The surrounding countryside is almost entirely given over to the cultivation of tea and you’ll be able to try your hand as a tea picker in hotels such as the Heritance Tea Factory.

Awaken your spiritual side when you pilgrimage to this sacred town, tucked away surrounded by jungle in the far south of Sri Lanka. It’s an important spiritual destination for Hindus, Buddhists and the Vedda people who are indigenous to the area.
